Class Description

Students will grow in confidence, knowledge, and freedom in using paint to respond to and interpret what they see. We will use still life and master copy as some methods. Students will become familiar with and effectively use materials, paint with more confidence from observation, learn how to mix paint tonally (lights and darks) and in spectrum color (warm and cool). They will learn or become re-familiarized with spectrum color interactions. We will study master paintings. We will learn keys to composition.
