STORYBOARDING (Adult/15+)

This class covers what you need to know 

to create storyboards for animation or live-action films, commercials, or music videos.  All aspects covered including visualization, cinematic composition, rendering styles and techniques, tips & tricks, and more.  Students will storyboard scenes from a real unproduced Hollywood script, or a film or video idea of their own.

10 weeks  $420+ 20

Basic Stop-Motion Animation

From Ray Harryhausen to Monty Python, learn the introductory basics of creating your own tabletop "stop-motion" animated films using modeling clay, armatures, paper cutouts, and found objects! This course covers all aspects including principles of motion, design, special effects, lighting, and abstract art. Taught by our Emmy-award winning animator and TV art director with 20 years experience in television and motion picture production. All skill levels welcome.

Clay Animation

Gumby, Wallace & Gromit, even Boxtrolls will be inspiration for learning how to make cool animation using only two ingredients - clay and your imagination! Covers all aspects of clay animation, including principles of motion, character design, story, clay effects, and lighting. Taught by our Emmy-award winning animator and TV art director with 20 years experience in television and motion picture production. All skill levels are welcome.

Animation Camps

Spring and Summer Camp: Clay Animation

Over five days, students learn about storyboarding, character design, principles of motion, special effects, and lighting. The finished product is an animated film. No experience necessary.

Cartoon Animation (Adult/15+)

Learn the introductory basics of creating your own cartoon animated film in the classic Hollywood traditional style of Disney, Warner Bros. and Fleischer studios.  Covers all aspects including principles of motion, character design, effects animation and abstraction.  Taught by our Emmy-award winning animator and TV art director with 20 years experience in television and motion picture production.  No prior animation experience necessary but good drawing skills are recommended.

10 Saturdays  $525+ 25 studio fee

12:30 to 3:30pm  (30 hours)

October 5 to December 14 (except 11/30)
